We started building this instrument as a spare display guitar some time ago. It was always going to be one of those "if we get it done, we might take it to NAMM" type of deals. It wasn't until we got the first coat of gloss on the body, that it soon became one of our favourites here at HQ!
Myrtle is a heavy timber, there is no denying that, so we used our heavy chambering pattern for this Hypemachine. Chambering not only benefits with weight relief, but adds a really nice mid range tonality. This promotes clarity when distorted.
The headstock plate for this instrument is Macassar Ebony, giving a sleek look as it matches the fretboard nicely.
SPECIAL NOTES: Tasmanian Myrtle can often be quick pink in hue, so we added a brown stain to the gloss coats, to darker the rear of the guitar. Natural exposed binding stands out between the back, and the slight sunburst edge of the top. Machined Alloy backplates identify this as one of our CustomShop handmade instruments.
We are offering free worldwide shipping on all NAMM releases.
