Welcome to the official Ormsby Guitars website, Australia's premium electric solid body guitar manufacturer.

We source timbers from throughout Australia and the world, regularly importing exotic timbers for bodies and necks. An extensive range of timbers are kept in stock to allow personalised timber selection for your unique dream guitar. A diverse range of shells, stones and artificial inlay materials are at our disposal, offering you the opportunity to really individualise your instrument.

Multi award winning luthier, Perry Ormsby, has been manufacturing his custom hand-made instruments in Perth for over eight years. Located in Kenwick, just south of the Cannington commercial district, Ormsby Guitars is a local success story, striving forward despite the global downturn. All instruments are custom made from a variety of exotic and Australian timbers, our own hand wound pickups, and top shelf hardware.

The majority of instruments are handmade to order, to suit a variety of different music tastes and styles, and include standard scale length, baritone and Multiscale™ guitars or basses. We also sell Standard Series instruments and our own Handwound Pickups through our network of dealers. These guitars still have that well known 'Ormsby Vibe' and tone but are without the expensive frills. The pickups are all handmade in our Perth studio, and include 'Handwound Humbuckers', 'Scatterwound Singlecoils' and 'Pimpin' P'90s'. Coming soon are a range of our own custom machined hardware to really give your guitar that custom feel.

We are the authorised warranty repairers for ESP, LTD, Ernie Ball, Washburn, Warwick, Ibanez, Taylor, PRS, Maton, and many more. We also offer a full repair, modification, and restoration service in our purpose built factory, covering not only acoustic and electric guitars, but basses, voilins, banjos, in fact ALL stringed instruments. Maybe your vintage pickup has failed? We can fix that too. Ormsby Guitars is the best stringed instrument repairer on the west coast of Australia, due to our quality of work, friendly service, and fast turnaround times.
